The new PortoMix from STOW Construction Equipment is the ultimate concrete mixer for homeowners, contractors and do-it-yourselfers, and at an extremely attractive price.

The unit’s sturdy polyethylene drum mixes up to 3 cubic feet (one-half bag) of material and comes with a stronger steel frame making it ideal for small footings and bases, binding block and concrete patching. The PortoMix can also be used as a wheelbarrow to transport concrete, debris and other materials.

STOW ’s PortoMix is powered by a reliable ¾-horsepower, 115 single-phase Baldor electric motor that is both UL and CSA approved. It can use standard household power. The mixer measures 34 x 23½ x 48½ inches (85 x 58 x 122 centimeters), facilitating simple transportation to, from and around the job site. It’s also small enough to fit into the trunk of a car.

The PortoMix is fitted with replaceable blades bolted to the drum and an mixer stand permits 360-degree rotation and a discharge of materials from a variety of positions.

Other standard features on this nifty 138-pound (62½ kilograms) mixer include a dust-proof on/off switch, an improved gearbox for reduced friction operation and pneumatic wheels for greater mobility.
