No matter how well a pavement is designed and constructed, it will eventually crack. If left unattended, cracks will allow water, air and debris to enter the pavement structure. Water can weaken the base material; air will oxidize and age asphalt. And when it comes to sealing cracks, preparation is the key to a successful job. If done properly, crack sealing can add many years to the life of a pavement.

  • Stow’s Random Crack Saws are designed to follow irregular crack patterns in asphalt and concrete surfaces.
  • The unit utilizes 8" diameter, dry cut diamond blades in industry standard widths to produce smooth-sided cuts to prepare surfaces for proper crack filling.
  • Maximum straight line cutting depth is 1 1/2".
  • The 3" diameter vacuum port for dust control allows attachment of a vacuum system for maximum dust evacuation.
  • Welded, unitized frame, extra-heavy duty, sealed swivel casters, 8" diameter rubber-backed real wheels, and twin row, externally greasable bearings for easy maintenance.
  • Twin belts power the 1" diameter arbor shaft in a down cut rotation as viewed from the operator.
